Introducing my New Website!

March 4, 2019

Hello!

Welcome to my new website! I am so excited to be writing my first post on my new site! I started Iamstufft a few years back to share my recipes with my friends and family. Now, I am really looking forward to taking this a step further and inspiring others through my love for healthy food.

The Website

Through this website I hope you will have an easier time navigating and searching recipes for cooking and healthy lifestyle inspiration. I am grateful for all the helpful resources there are out there on launching your own self-hosted site from other bloggers like Minimalist Baker, Pinch of Yum and countless others. It’s been a learning curve but I’ve enjoyed the process! I am hoping for a result that’s simple and  easy-to-navigate.

Why Iamstufft?

I get this question a lot. Think about whenever you’ve had a really great meal. What do you say at the end of it? Man, I’m so stuffed! This blog was created to show that you really don’t have to sacrifice taste for health.  The spelling is just my quirky twist on it 😊.

My faves

Everyone has a few dishes that they recreate over and over. For me that’s latin-style black beans, and Indian dal. Both are packed with protein and fiber and are so filling. You can make a million combinations of them. I also love all sorts of veggies, fruits and oats and am looking forward to sharing my innovative takes on them.

My style

I’ve been vegetarian since I was around 12 or 13, but it was only after college that I developed an awareness of what goes into your body. It was around this time that I was introduced to meditation and  understood the importance of spiritual health. Food is your first source of prana, or life energy, and a meal cooked with love and good intention always has a beneficial effect! With this in mind, my cooking style evolved to nourishing, vibrant meals that heal you from within.

I also love the creativity of cooking and the opportunity to use whichever ingredients you have on hand or in your fridge to come out with a really great tasting dish! A lot of my recipes were inspired by just that–using what’s available to me at the moment!

I’d love to hear from you!

Comment below on what fuels you in the kitchen. What kinds of foods induce that yummy bliss coma? Excited to continue this journey to health with you!
