At almost every party my parents hosted growing up, masala peanut chaat was a feature. It’s basically an addictive combination of crunchy roasted peanuts, lime, red onions and chili. This dish is so easy to make and you won’t be able to stop munching on it!
All you need for this dish is a few simple ingredients. The quantities in this recipe are for a party size. For a family of 4 or for a snack, I would use half of the quantities listed.
- Dry roasted peanuts (16 oz), unsalted if possible
- Red onion
- Cilantro
- Lime
- Chaat masala (or sub 1/4 tsp black salt)
- Cumin Powder
- Red Chili powder
- Serrano chili (or green chili of choice)
This recipe is best served fresh as the peanuts tend to soften up over time.

Notes
If you prefer, you may roast your own peanuts in a pan on a medium flame until lightly brown and toasted.
